Banjee Ball is BACK on Saturday, November 19th!
NINE LIVES is an official ‘Of the Year’ Ball, and we are excited to welcome legendary commentator / recording artist Kevin JZ Prodigy and revolutionary drag queen / club musician Kevin Aviance (both of whom appear on Beyonce’s Renaissance!) to Banjee Ball.
At NINE LIVES, we will be presenting Ebony Lane with a Lifetime Achievement Award for FOUR DECADES of love and dedication to the Los Angeles LGBTQIA+ and Ballroom community. Having raised generations of Ball kids, she is known as Mother, Grand Mother, and Great Grand Mother. In the 2000s, her event – The Boom Boom Room – gave us a home and allowed the community to grow. To this day, Ebony is famous for her exuberant performances at LA Balls — and of course, the catch phrase: “YOU KNOW WHO WON!”
Join us at NINE LIVES to celebrating this amazing woman and experience unbelievable performances by Purple Crush and many local LA Ballroom artists!

Through 11 total programs and a large public art installation, Caring Futures is a multifaceted series that aims to create and celebrate safe, inclusive space for conversation, community building, and celebration.
